A Cause For…Aching Feet

Good morning!  I’m sorry, am I talking to loud?  No, wait that’s just the pounding inside my head.  Nothing like a little wine headache to get your Friday started right!!  Last night I attended a charity event at Hiro Ballroom for A Cause For Celebration, which supports pediatric cancer research and family assistance.  After going to Penn State, participating in Thon for four years, and seeing sick children in person, I realize how amazing these organizations truly are.

The best part of the event (other than the open bar of course) was the band!  Mr. GreenGenes is a cover band that even takes requests.  We were on the dance floor all night.

Our friend Amy had seen the band in concert several times before and towards the end of the night (after many trips to the open bar) she was up on the stage rocking out.

I’m now sipping coffee and having some spelt toast to try and begin to function normally.  My feet are aching and every stop is a little taste of torture.  I seriously can’t hang like I used to.  Three drinks (ok maybe four) and I feel like death the next morning.  I think coffee number two is calling my name.  I’m hoping to get a workout in later in the day.
