Happy Almost Weekend! I hope everyone is staying comfortably cool in this lovely humidity. I’m tucked away in a corner at my “office” avoiding my stuffy apartment like the plague. I’m continuing on my healthy crusade and haven’t felt this good in ages…literally. I’ve gotten some great advice from a lot of close friends so I wanted to give them all a huge THANK YOU! I have spent a lot of time reading and learning about healthy living (and writing about it here), but less time applying what I’ve learned to my daily life. I believe that has to do with fear. What if I work out regularly, eat for nourishment not from stress, and still remain the same? I don’t think I’ve ever said that, or written it before. Throughout all my meditation and positive thinking I’ve learned that repetition is key. I need to do this EVERYDAY. I won’t be perfect as no one is, but giving up after three days is ridiculous. No one will see a major change in that amount of time. I may not see any change for several weeks, but every small action will add up to something AMAZING.
So I’ll continue my thirty minutes a day rule until Sunday and then come up with a new goal for the upcoming week. I actually did 34 minutes on the elliptical last night because one of my favorite songs came on and I figured I might as well finish the song. I’m looking for the small victories in each day and I know that I didn’t gain this weight overnight and I won’t lose it overnight, although a girl can dream, right?
Speaking of dreaming, my nightmare of the drunken slob have subsided! I’m taking that as a sign that the Universe is happy with my choice to change my thinking…for good.
Now onto the important stuff…dresses. I would love m readers to send in any ideas of what I should wear to the wedding. It is an outdoor ceremony at 7pm on a Saturday night. I’m thinking under $350. Bring on the fashionistas of the blog world. The only color I don’t look good in is nude. Have at it!
