Hello blog world! I’m back on the East coast after a long weekend with my family in California. I’ve always been under the impression that California was warmer than New York, but apparently I was mistaken. Not only was it at least ten degrees cooler, there was no humidity (score!). The dry, cool air was a welcome relief from the it’s-so-hot-you-can’t-breath heat in NYC this summer. Wearing a jacket (jean from the Gap, natch) and a scarf felt great. I’m just not made for humidity, people.
Every single time one of my friends goes to LA they come back and say I want to move there. What is it with that place? I consider myself a New Yorker through and through, yet even I thought “wow I could live here.” The worst part is, I have no idea why! Is it the weather? Sure, I love the dry air, but is that reason to head west? Is it the palm trees? I love a good palm tree. Is it the proximity to celebrity? I sat next to Eric Nies last week so that couldn’t be it. What is it??
Here are a couple of pictures of my weekend…much more to come after I’m far more caffeinated.
Dress: J.Crew (last season)
Shoes: Jessica Simpson (not pictured but worth mentioning)
