Seasons Of Love…

Well, it’s that time again folks.  Time for Starbucks’ holiday cups.  These cups bring up a mixture of both excitement and dread.  On the one hand, Thanksgiving is approaching and I love all things Thanksgiving.  On the other hand, my birthday is soon after and I’m just not quite done with 26 yet.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the Holiday Season in New York City.  The festive lights, endless parties, and dreaded hangovers.  As Ash knows better than anyone I LOVE a good fireplace.  In fact, I was ready to live in a shithole just to have a fireplace a few years ago.  Who am I kidding?  I still totally would.  Every single time I’m home with my parents during the cooler months I request a fire be made by my Dad so I can curl up under a blanket and read in front of it.

My ultimate vacation destination this winter is not a tropical beach, but a cozy weekend somewhere in New England where I have access to a stocked kitchen with more counter space than I can imagine.  I will spend my time skiing (it’s been far too long), then cooking delicious dinners completele with soups, hot cocktails, and of course desert.  All the while a fire roaring in the fireplace and my boyfriend cleaning the kitchen while I relax on the couch in a food coma.

A girl can dream, right?

I almost lived in a bedroom with HALF A FIREPLACE because Shanna just HAD to have the fireplace. I put my foot down and said you live in the half fireplace room if you want. We decided on a much better apt without a fireplace.

This is a true story. However I will say that apartment definitely had charm!
