First of all, if you can name the song and/or movie the title of this post is from you will have a new best friend. Second, this week “Rusty” takes friends with benefits to a whole new level. What happens when you actually fall in love with a friend?
1. I've been friends with this guy for years. There's always been a little flirtation, but recently I realized I have much stronger feelings for him. Should I tell him? I don't want to scare him off, but I'm finding it hard to be around him. Help!
There is never an easy answer to a question like this. Personally, there is nothing I hate more than the "what if". If you never act on your feelings, he could be feeling the same way and you'll never know. On the other hand, if you tell him how you feel and he doesn't feel the same way things will be weird.
My solution is that you should spontaneously try to kiss him one night after he has seen you drink. If he is into you, things will go from there. If he isn't into you and rejects you, you can blame it on the alcohol and joke about it the next day! This way you'll know where you stand and it minimizes the weirdness of you pouring your heart out to him! Just make sure you're not too drunk!
2. Have you ever fallen in love with one of your female friends? If so, what did you?
Yes, I have. I am currently struggling with this situation right now as her marriage is falling apart. I think she knows how I feel, but until her marriage is over, I am going to keep my feelings to myself. I really don't want to elaborate further at this time.
What do you guys think of Rusty’s advice??
