This, Not That…

A word on dining out while attempting to whittle the waist.  Last night I was lucky enough to attend a private Cocktail Reception and viewing of the movie Roadie at the Tribeca Grand Hotel.  The film has been getting rave reviews at the Tribeca Film Festival and I was very excited to see the movie and get a chance to mingle with the actors.  I knew there were going to be passed appetizers  so I was little concerned what healthy options there would be for me to choose from. 

Here is what I consumed:

1.  2 small glasses of white wine

2.  2 pieces of grilled chicken (one had some sort of peanut sauce on it, the other I didn’t dip)

3.  One piece of raw salmon with caviar (um, hello looovverrrr)

4.  One truffle risotto ball

5.  One crab cake ball

I made a valiant effort to have bits of this and that, but keep it under control.

Here’s what I passed on:

1.  Lobster rolls

2.  Sliders

3. Fried asparagus. 

I just ate turkey breast with lettuce and tomato on whole grain bread.  I’m making progress. 

Oh and Jill Hennessy (of Law & Order fame) starred in the movie and was stunning in person!  When JV and I saw her eat a Risotto ball we decided they must be worth it :)
